Our History
We, the Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, have been in the Diocese of Fresno since 1970, sharing our charism in education and health care.
We opened New Bethany's doors to our first residents in March, 1999, soon after the dedication and blessing of our new facility by the most Reverend John T. Steinbock, Bishop of Fresno. By then we had been granted our license for Residential Care for the Elderly (RCFE) by the Department of Social Services. Three months later, our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) was licensed by the Department of Health.
